Wall Blind Cabinet

If Front sizes are required the Cabinets Designs with Fronts must be ordered. This does not mean you have to order the Fronts, just use a design that has Fronts.

The Customer must supply detailed sketches of the Custom Boring Patterns required. An additional upcharge is added based on the time required for programming and machining which is determined after review of the pattern. No upcharge is added if cases have our standard boring pattern.

See the bottom of the page for Tips on Blind Cabinet Layout and information regarding the exposed portion of the Blind  Panel.

Wall Blind Left 0 Door Section & Boring Pattern Back
Order this design if the Case Height is not a Standard 32m Ht. or Boring Pattern is custom. W/H/D dimensions are variable. Specify Blind Panel Width. The Blind Panel overlays the face of the Case and is screwed on after case assembly. Add an additional 19MM (3/4") to the Side Panel depth when doing the layout.

Specify Blind Panel Width, Door Hinge L or R. Typically  the Door is hinged off the Blind Panel. The Blind Panel overlays the face of the Case and is screwed on after case assembly.  Add an additional 19MM (3/4") to the Side Panel depth when doing the layout.

Layout Tip

Were frequently asked questions about how to layout corners. The following is only an example. You may use any
method  you are comfortable with.

To layout a typical Blind corner allow 344mm (13.50") out of the corner each way for a 304mm (12") deep wall.
This will provide approx. 19mm (.75") of clearance for any adjacent doors to open. Coming away from the
Blind Panel allow 344mm (13.50"). Subtract the side panel depth 304mm (12") + Blind Panel thickness 19mm (3/4")
from the distance out of the corner 344mm (13.50") leaves approx. 19mm (.75") for the Filler between the Blind Panel
and the adjacent cabinet.

The Filler can either be set back flush with the case or brought out to flush with the Door / Drawer Fronts.
The Blind will be flush with the Fronts, so if a symmetrical look is desired flush the Filler with the Fronts and insure
the Front reveal is increased on the side that touches the Filler.

Once you have calculated your Blind Panel width, add how wide you want the remainder of the cabinet to be say 15".
Add 15" + 27" Blind =  a 42" Blind cabinet.

To make installation easier and or reduce the distance required to reach into the blind area, determine a distance
you want to "pull" the cabinet out of the corner, say 51mm (2").  Subtract the 51mm (2") from the cabinet width and
the blind, this would yield a 40" wide cabinet with a 25" blind panel. The cabinet would be pulled 2" out of the corner
at installation to a distance of 42" out of the corner. This allows you to slip the blind cabinet back and forth along the
wall if necessary during installation.

The Exposed portion of Blind can be - Laminated with HPL or Veneer, made entirely out of the exposed material
such as Plywood, or the Exposed portion can be Cut off and a piece of the exposed material (i.e.Plywood, Solid Wood)
reattached back on to the Blind with biscuits.
