Wall Cabinet Design Name & Description

Wall cabinets are unique in the 32mm System, often some or all of the Wall cabinets on a project have to be a non-32mm System height. In theory you always use 32mm System heights for cabinet heights, but in reality its not always possible. So we manufacture Wall cabinets to any height you need. One benefit of using the 32mm System heights is the hinge boring is symmetrical, non-32mm height cabinets don't have symmetrical hinge boring.

For example the version of the 32mm System we use has Side Panel heights in 32mm increments like 605/608, 637/640, 669/672, and so on. The dimension from the bottom of the side panel up to the centerline of the 1st hole is 46.5mm on Wall or Base cabinets. Side panel heights that are 3mm less than a number evenly divisible by 32mm, i.e. (605mm), have doors that are flush at the bottom and top. Side panel heights that are evenly divisible by 32mm, i.e. (608mm), have doors that are flush at the bottom and  have a 3mm reveal at the top, to allow clearance for a soffit or Crown moulding.
